Bernard Roy Saunders formed BR Saunders Transport Ltd in 1952 with his wife Doreen. After a few years, they moved their business to Walton-on-Thames, where our headquarters remain to this day.
After leaving school in 1966, Bernard’s son Paul joined the family business. Paul’s own sons Duncan and Trevor also decided to join the company, in 1996 and 2002 respectively. Following in 2008, we welcomed Paul’s nephew Chris to our ever-expanding haulage company.
This has enabled us to maintain a caring, friendly approach while growing the size and scope of our business. At BR Saunders Transport Ltd, we’re big enough to cope, small enough to care. After Duncan joined the company, he started to notice how long it took to load and unload trucks by hand or using a forklift. From here, we looked into lorry loader options and began our Hiab lorry fleet.
This leads us to where we are today, a haulage company offering a range of efficient and reliable contract hire vehicles and providing a one stop shop for everything relating to the haulage industry.
